The AI Nation 2030: Strategy and Action Plan for Healthcare (AIH) sets out Malaysia’s national pathway to trusted, responsible, and scalable adoption of artificial intelligence in healthcare. Spearheaded by Universiti Malaya on behalf of the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), and developed in close collaboration with the MRANTI HealthTech Division representing MOSTI, this roadmap translates research-led innovation into a coordinated, whole-of-government action framework.

Grounded in real clinical pilots and informed by 360-degree stakeholder engagement—spanning clinicians, researchers, hospitals, industry, service providers, and policymakers - AIH aligns national ambitions with frontline healthcare realities. Supported by the National Artificial Intelligence Office (NAIO) and presented to the Ministry of Health (MOH) for national uptake, the roadmap defines the pillars, drivers, and enablers required to move Malaysia from isolated AI initiatives to sustainable, system-wide impact. It positions healthcare as a cornerstone of AI Nation 2030, delivering better outcomes, stronger trust, and equitable access through human-centred AI.
